A Year of Generosity: How Spirit Fund & SGO Gifts Shaped LCSS in 2025-26

From new campus upgrades to a record-breaking Day of Giving, our community’s generosity made this one of the strongest years yet for Catholic education in Greater Lafayette.

Every gift to the Spirit Fund or Indiana SGO does more than support a line item, it shows up in classrooms, on campuses, and in the lives of the nearly 1,046 students across Lafayette Catholic School System’s five campuses. This year, our donors, families, and friends came together to make one of the strongest years in Spirit Fund and SGO history, and the impact is already visible across our schools.

What Your Gift Made Possible

Generosity this year didn’t just move numbers on a spreadsheet, it showed up in real, visible ways across our campuses. Because of gifts from our community, LCSS was able to:

  • Refinish the gym floor at Central Catholic Jr.-Sr. High School
  • Repair the Central Catholic tennis courts and track
  • Create a dedicated lab space for the Central Catholic Robotics team
  • Update the Knights Media Network studio
  • Rekey the Central Catholic campus for improved security
  • Refresh paint and add a new sensory room at St. Francis Early Learning Academy
  • Install a new communication system at St. Boniface Elementary

These upgrades mean safer, more inspiring spaces for LCSS students to learn, create, and grow — made possible because donors believed in them.

Day of Giving: A Community Showing Up Together

Day of Giving showed what our community can accomplish in a single day. This year, 537 supporters came together to raise $122,562, a 46% increase over last year’s Day of Giving, proving that when Lafayette Catholic rallies around its students, the results speak for themselves.

Steady Support All Year Long

This year’s results weren’t only about a single big day, they were built on consistency. Three out of every four of last year’s monthly donors continued their recurring gift again this year, and new supporters joined them along the way. That kind of steady, dependable giving lets our campuses plan ahead and keep serving students all year long, not just at year-end.

Thank You for Shining With Us

None of this happens without our community. Every gift, whatever its size, however it was given, is part of why students across St. Francis Early Learning Academy, St. Mary Cathedral Elementary, St. Boniface Elementary, St. Lawrence Elementary, and Central Catholic Jr.-Sr. High School continue to grow in faith and knowledge together.

He Shepherds. We Shape. They Shine. Thank you for shining alongside us.
